WiFi cameras: the new direction of digital photography?
Though Kodak was the first to release the world's first WiFi enabled camera, other companies followed in the trail such as Nikon's Coolpix S7C.

There's money to be made here from community groups. Imagine starting a photo service or online photography community where you can submit pics directly to your group via wireless hotspot? Now that would be cool. This negates having to pass through a memory card reader and a computer to upload pictures.

Another use for these cameras are for those in the publishing industry. Some online news sites make use of camera phones to take pictures of breaking news. With the coming of  WiFi in most parts of "modern society" you get better quality pictures sent through a faster network since WiFi is more reliable in terms of speed than 3G and GPRS.
