The database tells what brand of tyre left the mark at a crime scene and what kind of car which narrows the possibilities down to two or three possible brands. A visual comparison is done and within 24 hours, the police gets the result. This tyre print identification system has helped capture criminals in a number of serious crimes such as rape and homicide. We love high technology when it helps to fight crime.
