Personal blogs, business blogs, niched topic blogs - they all fit in. But since this is a business tools site, here are some additional pointers to consider when launching your corporate or product blog:

Have high resolution press pictures of your product in different angles. Those that write for blog networks - especially tech sites, scour the Internet for these high resolution pictures. Since people are going to be grabbing them back and forth, why not offer it then for free? High resolution images can be downloaded by graphic designers so they can place them in magazines.
