No, not those really huge ones. They make you look like a dork in public. If you want to cut out the ambient noise around you, it would be a good idea to invest in those in-ear earphones that totally block out sound. Of course, it would also be a good idea to sit facing the counter so you can tell if the waiter is approaching.
