Dell's new AMD-powered desktops is packed with Athlon 64 X2 dual-core power and its going to be cheapo $449 machines to break Intel's back. End of this month, Dell is going to be shipping AMD-based laptops and there will be two models which is a 15.4-inch model and 17-inch model in early 2007. Dell is obviously going to be going after consumers with these notebooks, but we don’t have much in the way of specs yet. Things could get really cheap if Dell starts to throw down discounts left and right like it often.
