I learned this tip from an Uruwaza feature by Lisa Katayama, a Wired contributor. I have attached the JPEG here but if you really can't see the text, all you need to do to sing karaoke better is to hold a dumbell up to your chest to be able to pull those high notes.
The rationale is that holding a dumbell stresses the muscles which allow you to make air flow better.
