Helio has released a wireless PCMCIA card that accepts both EVDO 3G and 802.11g protocols. What's so special about this, coming from the fact that most computers already have built in wireless Internet capabilities?Well for one, the card allows you to be TRULY connected all the time in the absence of a wireless hotspot. The main disadvantage of this card is that some laptop models as well as Mac portables have foregone the PCMCIA slot, unless you find a USB converter which would make the EVDO card stick out like a sore peripheral.
