There are always  two sides to the coin of backups - either you acquire a super simple backup solution that burns everything to a DVD - but conks halfway OR you need to go through a series of options before actual backup happens.

Even Apple's .Mac backup solution isn't that intuitive - you would need to go through a series of menus and options that backup a certain portion of your hard drive.
