Aiming specifically to business customers, Virgin Trains is about to launch seamless Internet connection along the West Coast Mainline in 2007. It will establish trackside wireless stations every few miles and will promise an uninterrupted seamless internet service notwithstanding the odd tunnels. The pricing plan is yet to be figured out. Wonder how feasible the project will be in the long run because commuters are increasingly using mobile phones and mobile data cards to get connected with the net. Why the hell one would then pay for Virgin Internet?
