school teacher and million others will tell you that he actually wanted these guys to make such a hot operating system which burns all wannabe's deep pocket.
If they want to benefit from the result of Microsoft's specially chosen research and development team, if they want to go ahead in life with the newest applications for the US (which includes new DX10 games, Sidebar gadgets and a host of enterprise application) they have to shell out dollars, after all there is no open source…oops…free lunch in this world.
