Businessweek has published an article that is showing how Apple and Dell are being awarded contracts to provide computers on every desk of US schools. Though this is well and good, the piece notes that parents are finding it a bit alarming to have students in front of the computer screen all day.

For us people who are already used to having a desktop in front of our cubicles, this may not be a big issue, really. But yes, children do need that time away from computers because it puts them in scenarios where they can just be distracted by the Internet and games.
