Gadgets, gizmos, and tools to help make you more productive in business

We're all used to having plugins in our applications to enable extra user-friendly features. This is usually promoted by a strong developer community or a combination of an easy to edit scripting application or plugin feature combined with a very involving community.

Thing is, once a new and improved operating environment is released, or an application is patched, some of these third party features now become incorporated into the program. And let's not even talk about licensing.

This is now apparent with the preview of Leopard, where Phill Ryu has outlined several plugins that Apple has "killed" because of new improvements to the operating system.

I guess this makes the statement "you are only famous until the next upgrade" true.
