there are some "flaws" in the Centrino processor that could possibly leave you open to hacker attacks via malware, worms and trojans sent wirelessly from other computers. It's always a good idea to have the latest patches, but unless your last name is Gates, or Jobs or maybe Kennedy, the idea of someone sitting in a Starbucks hot spot and hacking into your laptop is probably pretty small.
