Perhaps in an effort to boost phone and accessory sales, Verizon has dramatically changed the way they do music downloads. The $15 a month fee is bye-bye, but in its place a whole host of new charges have appeared. In order to play music on new Verizon phones, it'll run you $150 for the phone, another $100 for the mandatory flash memory card, and of course a $1.99 licensing fee for each song (something I happen to agree with for personal reasons!).
You can however have the files streamed to your PC, as long as you are running Windows Media Player 10...and no, they won't play on your i-Pod. I like that they dropped the fee, as I think mobile companies charge way too many fees anyway. But I wish they'd find a way to make storing the songs easier...like expanding the base memory in phones?
