Sigma, a Japanese gadget maker, has come up with a different take on the
universal serial bus or USB hub, adding audio functionalities. In addition to three USB 2.0 ports, the device includes jacks for headphones, speakers, and a microphone, together with a button that will let you switch between them quickly. It appears that the device effectively acts as a sound card as well, which may be good for some people, but not for those who have invested in a high-end card for their personal computers.
