Have you lost work on your laptop? Unilever plc recently unveiled a new automated back-up system intended to help laptop users keep better tabs on their work. An executive for Unilever told Computer Weekly that users rarely backup their data as often as necessary, leading the company to work on a program that would do it automatically. The program goes hand-in-hand with one that auto-refreshes laptops for users. This system, which will send information to central servers, now is available on some 30,000 laptops throughout Europe and the United States. Unilever is a global company with many subsidiary brands using this program.
