A Dutch company called U-Boat Worx has come up with a battery-powered C-Quester 1 personal submarine which will allow them to cruise down to depths of 50 meters at a maximum speed of 3 knots for up to two-and-a-half hours.
The cabin maintains a constant pressure of one atmosphere (1ATM), meaning that you can surface immediately without a need for decompression like a normal scuba diving session and the onboard oxygen tanks and CO2 scrubbers will last 36 hours. Now this is one good way to make a business trip to the Bahamas worthwhile.
