Two years olds and computers

A school in Europe is geared to teach children as young as 18 months to use the computer. This raises several questions about emerging needs for computer literacy as well as redefining what it means to take your child to work with you.

So next time you need to bring your two year old to work, make sure he gets to sit on his own little cubicle helping you with an Excel spreadsheet - because that is what they are being trained to do.

The oldest child is seven years old and the youngest is four and a recent class had children learning how to input data into an Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

The young age of the participants and the complexity of the tasks they are performing raises questions about the use of computers by children. (source)
