The Lenovo people must be going retro. Adding in a floppy drive does not increasing marketing sense and adds cost to the consumer. So why add it in when you can get
100GB Portable Drives from Maxtor. Lenovo’s ThinkPad G50 tech specs include a XGA to SXGA+ 15-inch display, Celeron M or low-end Core Duo processor options, 256MB of RAM, CD-ROM drive, terrible 2 hour battery and 40GB HDD. So plucking up 135,450 Yen ($1169 USD) is something I would not recommend.
China's Lenovo is giving Japan some love with the new mid-range ThinkPad G50. It's a bit on the chunky side, and weighs in at a hefty 7.3 pounds, but we suppose that's to make room for the rather odd inclusion of a built-in floppy drive.
