It is plain to see why most companies have taken the virtual path. Having a virtual meeting has proved to be more cost effective and convenient than to fly employees across Europe for a face-to-face meeting. This is especially true when you fly all the way across countries only to attend one of those "beat around the bush" meetings that never seem to end.
The research have showed that more than half of the IT managers surveyed are looking to review their virtual needs, while even more so are looking forward to adopt this new concept. Advances in technology also help to spur the new trend in virtual meetings. With the introduction of VoIP and virtual whiteboards, it is easier for companies new to the concept to embrace the virtual meeting place.
