Sotec e-three HS310 Notebook

While we're on the subject of Sotec notebooks, why not check out the e-three HS310 model? The HS310 is extremely mobile, measuring just 274mm x 231.65mm x 33.5mm and weighing approximately 1.58kg. Of course, the lightness of the notebook comes at a price, and in the case of the HS310, performance is sacrificed in favor of mobility. The 12.1" XGA TFT LCD supports a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768, while it is powered by either the Pentium 735 1.70GHz or Celeron M 380 1.60GHz processors. Standard features include a measly 256MB RAM, a 40GB hard drive, and the Intel 915GM Express graphics chipset. The maximum RAM allowed on the HS310 is just 1GB, making this notebook unsuitable for high powered applications. Other features are three USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a PC card slot, WiFi connectivity, and an SD/MMC/Memory Stick PRO card reader. The Pentium M model can last up to 4.5 hours per charge, while the Celeron-powered notebook falters after running for only 3.3 hours.

 

Pros : Lightweight and mobile

Cons : RAM maxes out at 1GB
