I'm not saying that Sony is suddenly not going to be the industry leader in consumer electronics. Or that they'll even take a modest hit from this. But is anyone else just a little concerned that Sony lately seems to have Can't-Make-A-Release-Date Disease? The PS3 I think has been moved to sometime in the fall…of 2016. I kid. But recently Sony has said that their new e-book reader, the Sony PRS-500 is due for a delay that Sony says will put it on shelves and in retail catalogues in time for the holidays. Being old fashioned, I still prefer my books on real paper, but for those that enjoy the many benefits of keeping an entire novel on something the size of a Palm Pilot, I suppose this is truly tragic indeed.
