A nifty little gadget developed by Kensington recently is the Pocketscan Business Card Reader. A nice little toy to add to your arsenal of electronic artillery. I find this mini scanner particularly useful after attending seminars. In most cases, I would have collected a stack of 10-20 business cards at these events. Regular cabinet filers would have meticulously arrange their cards alphabetically or whatever fashion they fancy. However with this baby, I was able to scan all my cards and transfer them to outlook in a breeze. It scans, automatically sorts & transfers all data to outlook accurately. All with the touch of a "scan" button.
The standard reader comes with multi-language support, automatic field identifier, export data and infrared transmission. No doubt my shiny metal friend is well equipped for the job, I find this gadget a tad too expensive for scanning cards. Nonetheless, at £75.99, you be the judge.
