Averatec, a company that up to this point has been known primarily for its affordable laptops seeks to enter a different end of the market with their Voya 350 GPS device. It retails for a little over $400, on the lower end of touch-screen, colour LCD GPS device price scale. Of course, nothing is perfect and you must buy the mounting brackets and antenna separately, making the unit more costly, and frankly more of a pain. However, any salesman or field technician can tell you how easily you can get lost in a city whose streets don't look like a grid. And a sub-thousand dollar GPS is still nothing to scoff at.
