Toshiba has unveiled the company's first widescreen Tablet PC in the form of the Tecra M7 and I consider it coming out quite late in the market. The Tecra M7 aims to bring a balance between portability of a notebook, a desktop's performance, as well as the convenience of a notepad for a robust mobile computing solution. It is the first tablet PC in the world to come with a 14.1" diagonal widescreen WXGA+ display, offering a maximum resolution of 1440 x 900. Users can enter data with their own handwriting, and digital ink is applied to documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The rotating display makes things easier when you want to share data or presentations with the audience. Powered by the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 OS, the Tecra M7 boasts Toshiba's very own EasyGuard technology that offers protection to critical components like the hard disk drive and LCD display via shock-absorbing materials. Any sudden acceleration will place the hard disk drive into protection mode, parking the hard disk head until a normal operating situation resumes. Toshiba's recommended configuration clocks in the Tecra M7 at $1,899.
Pros : Handwriting recognition, robust, extremely portable
Cons : Limited processing power, unsuitable for power users

And did your replacement M7 not have that same problem with dust in the screen?
Was it a different latch design or what did they do?
By any chance do you know who you dealt with at toshiba because i could really use some help?
