I was reading a short bit from Terrence Pua's Xackup blog and his entry on value added backup services struck me. I mean how else could you put value added services to a redundancy system? How many multiple redundancies should you have to make something value added?

Terrence looks at how stretching online multimedia access can serve as a potential value added service: backup music which you can stream, backup videos which you can watch.

Another way would be to offer several methods of access where your data can get shipped to you physically in a HD-DVD disk or access small yet important files from your mobile phone.
