I measure expensive based on what I pay at home, which is about $50 for DSL (including a phone line I don't use for anything but DSL).
It seems that Boeing is finally giving up on the idea of surfing the net while in the air because it hasn't been as profitable as they though it would. They generally charge between $10 and $30 per flight.
I have a suggestion (and you might too, just leave a comment and I'll try to contact Boeing and get them to read this). Give us free air internet connections and I'll fly your service more often.
Right now, I don't really have a preference of who I fly with. I've always wanted to fly Jet Blue, but they never go my direction of travel.
I've heard that Verizon's EVDO network is lightning fast, but don't know anything about pricing, how to use it, or availability, anyone have any suggestions?
Also, I've heard that you can get free airport wireless connections, anyone know how that is done?
Let me know and post a comment!
Note: In the picture is the current pricing structure from Boeing.
