Floridians (USA) can now enjoy a biometric payment system, requiring just a push of your finger to pay for your haul at the local store. This bodes well for businesses who can then trim down on manpower at checkout counters. The latest business in Florida to implement this biometric payment system is the Coast to Coast chain of stores. The system is linked to either a checking or debit account which then deducts the appropriate amount. Credit cards are not compatible with this system currently. Pay by Touch is the company that offers such kiosks, with units in Virginia, Illinois, North and South Carolina already set up and running.
Pros : Convenient, cashless
Cons : Disabled (without fingers/hands) cannot take advantage of it
