Acer was the first (if not, one of the first) manufacturers to churn out a dual core mobile computer in the worldwide market. The high end 8200 "best in class" series is representative of Acer's drive to remain competitive in the market. In fact, this series was voted as PC Magazine's Editor's Choice in January 2006.The Travelmate 8200 comes with a 15.4 inch widescreen that's powered by an ATI Radeon X1600 with 256MB of DDR memory. The full capacity for RAM is at 2GB but the unit itself comes with two sticks of half a gig of memory, totaling stock RAM to 1GB.
A hefty 120GB (5400 rpm) hard disk comes with the unit along with an integrated DV cam.
