Suppose, just suppose, that you are on a trip to the Mojave desert. So you pack the night before, and get up early in the morning to leave for your flight. While you are waiting in the terminal you pull out your cell phone to see what time it is and you notice that you forgot to plug in your phone the night before. Well that's ok because you brought your phone charger in your checked luggage and you still have half of a charge. All is fine and dandy until your phone rings and you wife is having some type of mini-crisis and, since you are such a good husband, you listen to her entire story. Now you are almost out of battery.
So you get on your plane an as you get out into the terminal to pick up your luggage you realize they have lost your luggage. So now you are stuck with just a little cell phone battery for the entire trip. But it will last you long enough to get to the hotel room, right? Wrong. You pick up your rental car and are traveling throught the Mojave desert just as you run out of gas. And guess what, now you have no cell phone either. So your stuck, right? Not if you have one of the nifty Motorola PVOT's. This cell phone is powered by a crank handle on the side. For every 25 cranks, you get about one minute of talking time. Definitely enough to save you if you are ever stuck in the Mojave desert without your luggage after you your wife has drained your cell phone due to a mini crises. Whew...cause that happens to me all the time.
